Incoming Inspection Process Upgraded with Automated Optical Checking

DFL ELECTRONIC has added an automated optical inspection station to the incoming quality control area. The station verifies package outline, pin count, marking content and surface condition against the manufacturer datasheet.

Parts that fail visual verification are quarantined and reviewed by the quality engineer before any decision on return or rejection is made. Inspection records are kept with the lot number for customer reference.

This step complements the existing electrical sampling tests performed on diodes, regulators and passive components, and is intended to reduce the risk of mislabeled material entering the picking process.
